Accuracy & Verification

We do not publish rumours. Every claim we publish must be verified by at least one credible, identifiable source. Where a single source is used, this is clearly disclosed. For breaking news, we clearly label developing stories and update them as verified information becomes available.

Sources

We use named sources wherever possible. Where a source requires anonymity — for their safety or due to the sensitivity of information — we disclose that the source requested anonymity and explain why we believe their information to be credible. We do not publish information from anonymous sources without corroboration.

Independence

Our editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers, sponsors, and commercial partners. Sponsored or branded content is clearly labelled as “Sponsored” or “Advertisement” and is always separated from editorial content. Advertisers have no influence over our news coverage or editorial positions.

Fairness & Right of Reply

When an article makes a significant claim about an individual or organisation, we make reasonable efforts to seek their comment before publication. Where comment is not obtained in time, we note this in the article and update the story if a response is later received.

Corrections Policy

We correct errors promptly and transparently. When a factual error is identified — whether by a reader, source, or our own team — we update the article, add a correction notice at the top of the article clearly stating what was changed and when, and do not silently alter published content.

Privacy & Sensitive Content

We follow responsible reporting guidelines for stories involving minors, mental health, crime victims, and other sensitive subjects. We do not publish information that could put individuals at risk or unnecessarily invade private lives where there is no clear public interest justification.

User-Generated Content

Comments and reader submissions are moderated before publication. We do not publish content that is defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, or factually misleading. Readers who submit tips or information grant ZimCelebs permission to use that information in our reporting.
