Pastor Benny Hinn and Wife Suzanne Finalize Second Divorce After 46 Year

Pastor Benny Hinn and his wife, Suzanne Hinn, have officially finalized their divorce for the second time, more than a year after Suzanne filed to end the marriage.

Records from the Hillsborough County Court in Florida, first reported by the Trinity Foundation, show that the couple’s uncontested divorce was finalized on Nov. 19. The filings are not currently available for public viewing.

Suzanne Hinn filed for divorce in the summer of 2024. By that time, the couple had been living separately in homes more than 60 miles apart. Her attorney, Matthew Wilson of the Anton Garcia Law firm in Tampa, declined to comment when contacted.

Pastor Benny Hinn’s attorney, Damon Chase, said his client was not the one who initiated the divorce. He emphasized that the case was resolved peacefully and that the two still care deeply for each other.

“Pastor Benny Hinn and Suzanne Hinn still love each other with a deep, profound soulmate type of love,” Chase said. “They just got divorced. It was personal feelings. It was something personal to them, but they did what they felt was right.”

Chase added that despite the divorce, the pair remain close and continue to share aspects of their spiritual life. “They’re still very much in each other’s lives. And will always be in each other’s lives,” he said.

According to Chase, the divorce stemmed from undisclosed personal reasons. He insisted there was no hostility between them. “There is no end of the relationship. They both love each other very much,” he said.

He described the legal process as “extremely amicable,” adding, “They both will always be in each other’s lives, and like, always, they’re very, very close. They love each other a lot, both of them. This was not like some contentious divorce or anything like that.”

The couple, who share four children, first married on Aug. 4, 1979. Their relationship has previously faced public challenges, including a divorce in 2010 after 30 years of marriage. At that time, Suzanne cited “irreconcilable differences.”

In 2010, the National Enquirer photographed Pastor Benny Hinn and fellow televangelist Paula White leaving a hotel room. Hinn later denied allegations of an affair, saying they shared a friendship he ended after the report was published. “No immorality whatsoever,” Hinn told followers at a California crusade. “These people out there are making it sound like we had an affair. That’s a lie.”

Pastor Hinn said he took White to Rome because he hoped she would support the Vatican’s art collections. “I let her come with me to Rome so she can donate money,” he said. “That was stupid on my part. And for that, I do ask forgiveness.”

The Hinns reunited in 2012, and Pastor Hinn later claimed their first divorce was connected to Suzanne’s long-term struggle with prescription drug dependence. “She became dependent on those for nearly 15 years,” he wrote on his ministry’s website, explaining that he had not understood the extent of the issue at the time.

They remarried in 2013 at the Holyland Experience in Orlando, Florida, in front of an audience of 1,000 people.

Their most recent divorce ends a 46-year marriage marked by separation, reconciliation, and ongoing public attention due to their roles in Christian ministry.
